It’s time to get yourself fully connected!
In this episode of the Beauty of Conflict, Susan and CrisMarie are thrilled to be joined by Annie Thoe, Feldenkrais practitioner, teacher, and Movement Consultant at Sensing Vitality. Annie shares her knowledge about connecting one's awareness with the wisdom of nature and the body for self-healing.
Annie’s life changed after finding a Feldenkrais practitioner that guided her through the healing process of a knee injury. This somatic methodology taught her how to find connections inwards and outwards in her body using concrete exercises to become aware of sensory inputs. Additionally, she talks about how opening up to nature and its wisdom can help people feel embodied, calming their minds. Using different animals and elements as examples, Annie draws parallels between humans and nature that, when recognized, can be a vital source of lessons and learnings.
Tune in to this episode to learn about how we can clear inner conflict within us by using nature’s and our body’s wisdom!
About our Guest - Annie Thoe
Annie Thoe is Feldenkrais Teacher, Assistant Feldenkrais Trainer, and Nature Awareness Teacher with a private practice in Seattle. She teaches online classes and workshops combining Feldenkrais and Nature Awareness for healing, inner guidance, ease of movement, and creativity. Her work over the past 35 years draws from many healing modalities, naturalist studies, tracking and survival, meditation, and martial arts. Her nature-themed online classes and Youtube videos help connect one’s awareness with the wisdom of the natural world and the body for self-healing. She has an extensive video and audio library on her Patreon site: Sensing Vitality, published numerous articles, and can be contacted at www.sensingvitality.com.
Her next public online workshop at the Feldenkrais National Conference is Sunday, Oct. 2 Pulled into the Present- Sensing Mass, Orbits, and Bones
This workshop helps coordinate the ease with your chest, shoulders, head, and neck. You will use a stone or weight held in your hand to simulate the effect of an orbit around the body. The movements draw from three Feldenkrais and Nature Awareness series that explore how to work with gravity and clarify the pull of forces on the body for improving alignment and ease. If you struggle with focusing on the past or worrying about the future, this workshop will help you move into the present with amazing ease.
