People tend to avoid talking about feelings in business, but they are essential in decision-making.
In this episode of the Beauty of Conflict, Susan and CrisMarie discuss how locating feelings in the body and in relation to those around can help anyone recognize and address any issues that stand in the way of the business and teamwork flow. Thanks to the distress caused by dynamics in an offsite meeting, Susan and CrisMarie did an exercise to locate Susan’s relationships within the team in terms of closeness to recognize where she was at that moment and understand why, before taking any action. They use this example to illustrate how anyone can reclaim their power in a relationship by being more authentic and transparent with their feelings. The conversation comes full circle when they apply this tool in business to map how a leader works with different areas.
